We do not endorse political views here, this story is presented without bias.

According to the New York Post a man driving a semi-truck full of humans was stopped at the Texas border earlier this month. The man arrested is a Hondoruan national who has a previous criminal history of drug and weapons charges but was not named at the time.

He was driving a commercial dump truck typically used for construction work in Dimmit County, TX, a county southwest of San Antonio that barely touches the border, when he was pulled over by DPS officers. Upon inspection the officers discovered 76 men packed into the back and covered with a ragedy blue tarp in an attempt to hide them. Texas Department of Public Safety officers also found the driver had meth on him.

Watch the video here:

The humans were all men of varying ages, a sign that they were likely being smuggled into the USA to work some low paying job by an unscrupulous employer. Often times that means a construction subcontractor, lawn care, picking fruits / vegetables on a farm, a meat packing plant, or a restaurant kitchen.

It seems obvious that the men in the vehicle had paid or volunteered to be smuggled. In a DPS photo (see below) one young man is seen ‘tossing up the deuce’ and another is seen looking at the camera and seemingly striking a pose like you might expect to see on Instagram.

The human smuggler was taken into custody and the men found packed into the back of the rig were all transferred to the custody of the Border Patrol / Homeland Security. They will most likely be processed and deported before trying again.
