An animal rights activist most likely affiliated with a group out of Berkley, CA jumped on to the football field during the Monday Night Football showdown between two of California’s 3 NFL teams the LA Rams and the San Francisco 49ers. The man was carrying a pink smoke bomb typically used for gender reveals but also had a t-shirt with an activist website URL on it. Security chased him around the field but it was Bobby Wagner, a linebacker for the Rams, who took him to the ground with a big hit near the sidelines.

The group taking responsibility for this is promising more similar incidents via their Twitter handle.

They apparently have “beef” with the food manufacturer Smithfield who some of their members stole animals from.
